St. Margaret\u2019s Bay Pride<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 2nd Annual Bay Pride Festival is returning to St. Margaret\u2019s Bay from July 5th<\/sup> to 26th<\/sup>, bringing together residents and visitors for a vibrant celebration of community, inclusion, and connection!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This family-friendly, community-driven festival features more than 15 events throughout the region, welcoming people of all ages, identities, and backgrounds. Whether you identify as part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community or simply want to support a more inclusive and welcoming St. Margaret\u2019s Bay, everyone is invited to take part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Festival highlights include Drag Bingo on July 10th<\/sup> at Black Harbour Distillers, a Family Pride Party at the Tantallon Library on July 11th<\/sup>, and on July 12th<\/sup>, a full day of events featuring The Great Pride Clothing Swap at St. Luke\u2019s United and a \u201cHeated Rivalry\u201d hockey game between the Halifax Mussels and South Shore Queer Hockey at St. Margaret\u2019s Centre, followed by an open skate for the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other events include yoga classes, a memoir writing workshop, a Drag Brunch at Cavicchi\u2019s, a Pride church service at St. Luke\u2019s, and a Pride Paddle. Residents can also create and submit a photo of a Pride-themed garden display for the Planting with Pride Showcase, co-hosted with the St. Margaret\u2019s Bay Gardening Club, for a chance to win prizes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival culminates with Bay Pride Fest on Saturday, July 25th<\/sup> at the Hubbards Barn. Begin the day with a mini trail parade, departing from the J.D. Shatford Memorial Public Library at 10 a.m., and end at the Hubbards Farmers\u2019 Market, where a special Pride Market will be hosted. The celebration returns to the Barn in the evening for a community picnic, all-ages drag show and open mic, live music, and a silent disco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bay Pride is about visibility, belonging, and celebrating the diversity that makes our communities stronger. This festival creates opportunities for connection, learning, and joy for everyone in St. Margaret\u2019s Bay!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
