World Humanitarian Day recognizes the efforts of individuals who make a positive difference in their communities through service, compassion, and action.
Service to the community extends beyond the workplace for Staff Sergeant Lynden Morrison of RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment. In his spare time, he volunteers alongside his diving partner and fellow environmental advocate, Sean McMullen (Saltwater Sean), to help clean waterways across Nova Scotia. Together, they dive beneath the surface to remove trash and debris, helping improve water quality and protect aquatic ecosystems.
Beyond their clean-up efforts, they also share their findings through social media to raise awareness about pollution and the impact of littering, encouraging others to take action in their own communities.
