Community members looking for help with everyday technology can take advantage of free one-on-one Digital Device Training this summer at the St. Margaret’s Bay Community Enterprise Centre.

Open to everyone, appointments are tailored to each individual’s needs, whether they are learning the basics or looking for help with a specific issue.

Training is available for smartphones, tablets, and computers, covering topics such as email, internet browsing, video calling, online safety, photos, apps, setting up new devices, and other everyday technology questions. Additionally, cyber security presentations will be held for those who are interested

Odessa Obirek, who is returning to lead the program after providing similar training last summer, says, “Technology shouldn’t be a barrier to staying connected. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with seniors in our community and help make everyday technology feel a little easier to use.”

Sessions are free of charge and available by appointment from July 1st through August 26th, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM at the St. Margaret’s Bay Community Enterprise Centre, located at 5229 St. Margaret’s Bay Road, Upper Tantallon.

This program aims to improve digital confidence and accessibility for residents throughout the St. Margaret’s Bay area and surrounding communities.
