St. Margaret’s Bay, NS — Calling all young entrepreneurs! The St. Margaret’s Bay Community Enterprise Centre (SMBCEC) is set to host its second annual Youth Entrepreneur Fair on Saturday, June 13th, offering young entrepreneurs a chance to bring their business ideas to life.
Running from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s Church (lower level), the event invites youth aged 8 to 14 to showcase their products and services to the community. Designed to foster creativity, confidence, and business skills, the fair gives participants hands-on experience in entrepreneurship.
Participation in the fair is free, although space is limited and registration is required to participate. Parents and guardians are required to accompany children throughout the event, as volunteers will not be providing supervision.
Registration is open until June 6th, and interested participants can secure a spot or learn more by contacting youthprogram@smbcec.org.
To help nurture the next generation of local entrepreneurs, local businesses are also invited to support the initiative through financial or in-kind sponsorships. Contact youthprogram@smbcec.org for more information.
The community is encouraged to support the young entrepreneurs by attending the fair to browse through their creations and take home some treasures. Cash is recommended as most youth entrepreneurs are not able to accept cards.
For more information, contact Chantal Pelham-Edwards, SMBCEC board member, at youthprogram@smbcec.org.
